We expect the telephone service to be restored sometime today. All dial-up customers should be using the new dial-up system as described below.
9/1/2004 - Nebutel Announces Nationwide Dial-up Sevice
This is an important message for all of our dial-up users.
We are proud to announce that we are now offering nationwide dial-up Internet service. We now have thousands of access numbers available throughout the United States. The dial-up numbers for our local users have changed as well. The new numbers are as follows:
South Brevard and Sebastian: 321 4734019
South and Central Brevard:321 4734019 and 321 3692222
North Brevard: 321 3940106
Other national numbers will be posted on our homepage www.nebutel.com.
In addition to the access number you will be dialing, you login information will change slightly. Your password will stay the same but at the end of you username add @nebutel.com. For example if your dialup username is “username” and your password is “password” just change the “username” to “username@nebutel.com”. This is added regardless of your email address. Your email address will not be effected by these changes.
How To Change your dial-up number:
Windows 95 and 98: Double click on My Computer. Then double click on “Dial-up Networking”. Then right-click on the connection to Nebutel and select properties. On the General tab change the phone number to the one for your area listed above.
Windows ME: Click on the Start button, select Settings then select Control Panel. Then double click on “Dial-up Networking”. Then right-click on the connection to Nebutel and select properties. On the General tab change the phone number to the one for your area listed above.
Windows 2000: Click on the Start button, select Settings then select Control Panel. Then double click on “Network and Dialup Connections”. Then right-click on the connection to Nebutel and select properties. On the General tab change the phone number to the one for your area listed above.
Windows XP: Click on the Start button, select Control Panel. Then double click on “Network and Internet Connections”. Then select “Network Connections”. Then right-click on the connection to Nebutel and select properties. On the General tab change the phone number to the one for your area listed above.
Mac OS X: From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences. Click the Network icon. Click on the PPP tab. In the Telephone number field, type your new access number. Click the Apply Now button.
Mac OS 8.5 – 9.2: From the Apple menu, click Control Panels, and choose Remote Access. In the Number box, type your new local access number.
